Hello! My name is Jade, and I’m a travelling EFL Teacher.
It all started in 2015, during my university summer break, when I was hired as an overseas advisor for a large travel company. I relocated to mainland Spain for 4 months (despite having never left my family home before). And this was when I first got the taste for a nomadic life – being able to live and work in different parts of the world.
After I graduated in the summer of 2016, I was stuck for what I wanted to do next: start my career, continue my education, or pursue that nomadic life I’d had a glimpse of just a year before? I decided to work for a year and save money to travel. During that time, I learnt about TEFL and quickly booked onto a course in Thailand.
Now I’m TEFL qualified and have teaching experience in classrooms overseas, in the UK and online. Still without any idea of what I want to do next, I continue to teach and explore the world, and discover the pathways to my own happiness.
(Currently, I have a BA(hons) in English and Creative Writing, a 120-hour, face-to-face TEFL certification and 1+ years teaching experience).
